The hospital claims that on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, there was a national grid outage that forced the facility to rely on its own power plant.

A momentary malfunction of the NICU’s specialized generator set occurred during this time, requiring fast action and repair by the hospital’s electricians.

In response to the issue, the hospital released a statement stating that no lives were lost during the outage because electricity was restored to the unit in less than two hours.

The government underlined that such events are handled extremely seriously and that every effort is made to reduce any possible problems that may arise from power outages.
